Position overview
We’re looking for a Middle+ PHP Engineer with Wordpress experience. You will create a plugin compatible with WordPress to allow newsrooms and businesses across the U.S. to share their announcements, updates, events, and curated content. This plugin should allow Users to explore local news, events, and businesses in a visually engaging way that fosters connection with their surroundings. We are looking for a developer who can become part of our small team and take on the tasks (FE&BE) development. Your working hours can be coordinated according to Ukrainian business time or shifted to the evening in order to overlap more with the client (but this is not necessary)

YOUR BACKGROUND
- At least 4 years of experience as Software Developer
- Professional PHP backend development experience
- Experience with Wordpress
- SQL and general database knowledge (PosgreSQL, MySQL)
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work in a team or independently
- English - Intermediate
Skills that will be a plus:
- NoSQL and data caching systems knowledge (Redis, MongoDB)
- Knowledge of testing principles (PHPUnit, Codeception, Behat)
- Experience with designing backend solutions using SOLID principles
- Experience in developing applications with Microservices architecture
- Experience with a cloud services provider (AWS)
- Experience of working with Linux bash
- Virtualisation systems usage experience (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Google Maps JavaScript API
Responsibilities
